Windfall Cafe is a surprisingly solid spot right beside Dum Dum Cantonment railway station. I tried their Napoli Pizza, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and Chilli Potato, all tasted genuinely good for the price point. Portion size vs cost is well balanced. The place is work-friendly, decently spacious, and not trying too hard with ambience, simple, functional, and comfortable enough to sit for a while. Service was polite and the food came on time, which honestly isn’t common in many nearby cafés. Pricing is fair: usually around ₹200–₹400 per head (roughly ₹600-₹700 for two). Definitely worth it for casual visits. I’d visit again just to try out the rest of the menu. Good value in this area. ~ Ankan R
As someone who was born and brought up in this town, I’ve seen many restaurants and cafés open and close over the years — mostly because of poor taste or bad service. While there are some good cafés now, many are either too expensive or compromise on food quality. But Windfal Café is truly changing that story in our town. The quality of the food and the taste are simply amazing. What surprised me the most is the price — honestly, I was shocked at how they manage to serve such great quality food at such reasonable prices. It truly blew my mind. I’ve already visited three times, and every experience has been consistently good. Without a doubt, Windfal Café has become my favorite place to hang out now. We went for Lunch.... We had expresso.... Perfect blend and balanced.... We skipped the starter directly went for main course we had mixed grill sizzler.... Pretty heavy stuff contains herbed rice, sunny side up, tiger prawn, chicken steak, Grilled fish ( Bhetki)...covered with delicious brown sauce could easily be shared by two. The quality is at par with any great steak and sizzler joints of Calcutta....after a sumptuous lunch we had matka kulfi ( suggested by the owner), it was flavorful and great taste indeed. This was my second visit please try the pizzas, chicken popcorn and the club sandwich too. Pretty pocket friendy place with great food..... Must visit place.... Highly recommended. ~ Somisubhra G
